Despite this being your featured item, I liked it the most after looking through the majority of your gallery. I especially enjoy it when artists use the canvas to help enhance their work, and you have obviously done an excellent job of that here.

Your skill is in your patience, in my opinion. The hatch work on his? face, as well as the built lines for the shadow of the cloud are so precise and seem to create a resonance for the surfaces they describe. I can tell you take your time to make each stroke from the same side, instead of back and forth.
